RIGHTS

Inclusive youth work, promotion of diversity and prevention of discrimination is essential part of our work on promoting a human rights culture and democratic citizenship among young people.

Embracing diversity and inclusivity in youth empowerment is an essential aspect of creating a positive and successful future for European youth. It is important to recognise that diversity is more than just race or ethnicity; it encompasses gender, sexuality, religion, culture, and much more. By embracing diversity and inclusivity, we seek to create a more accepting and welcoming environment for all youth, regardless of their background or identity.

To us, having diverse leadership is crucial for creating a culture of inclusivity in youth empowerment. We ensure that our youth leaders come from diverse backgrounds, possess different perspectives, and be representative of the youth they are serving. This ensures that all youth feel seen and heard, and that their needs are being addressed.

The Network looks critically at the socioeconomic and cultural mechanisms that can encourage inclusive pluralism in the European youth organisations, seeking approaches that view diversity as an asset rather than a threat; providing an open platform to all young people to discuss, exchange ideas, learn from good practices and create innovative strategies for inclusion, active youth citizenship and protection of human rights and participatory democracy.

Creating Strategies for Inclusion, Diversity and Rights in youth work in Greece and in Europe, our Network involves a wide range of young citizens, civil society organisations, communities, academic institutions and local authorities are given the opportunity to collaboratively debate and develop together strategies for innovative  inclusive practices in youth work across Europe.
