CHANGE

A Unique Youth Network

Our Network has a unique focus on youth work. Our efforts are specifically dedicated to human rights promotion among young people; to human rights education and advocacy as well as to fostering active youth participation.

Promoting European values and universal ideals of human rights, democracy and social solidarity, we seek to empower young people to take active part in social and political life; decision-making and community-shaping, having a real say in their future.

ACT

We are a vibrant youth-lead community, who  learns and grows together, acting as a youth force for change. We promote the universality of human rights, tackle discrimination, educate vulnerable communities to stand for their rights. We campaign, train, advocate and take active part in decision-making. We are NEADI. Join us.

Involving a wide range of young people from different social and professional backgrounds in Europe, underrepresented minority and migrant community members, human rights activists, academics, youth workers and decision-makers, we seek to foster a public dialogue to promote universality of human rights and discuss the importance of participatory democracy and youth active citizenship.

We work as a network that raises awareness, educates and advocates for a culture of human rights and equality in Europe.

The “Education for human rights democratic citizenship” means education, training, awareness raising, information, practices and activities which aim, by equipping learners with knowledge, skills and understanding and developing their attitudes and behaviour;  to empower learners to contribute to the building and defence of a universal culture of human rights in society, with a view to the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms as well as to empower them to exercise and defend their democratic rights and responsibilities in society, to value diversity and to play an active part in democratic life, with a view to the promotion and protection of democracy and the rule of law.

The education for human rights and democratic citizenship aims to give young people the knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes that will help them play an effective role in their communities – be it on the local, national or international level. It informs about one`s rights, responsibilities and duties and it helps young people to realise that they can have influence and make a difference.

The education for human rights and democratic citizenship is a powerful tool which helps preventing future human rights violations; fight racism, extremism, xenophobia, discrimination, structural violence, exclusion and intolerance.  It plays a vital role in promoting democracy, human rights and the rule of law and the core values of freedom, equality and justice.
